Picking the Right Passover Programs for 2020

There are many different options for Passover 2020 vacations, but there are several key things to look for before choosing a specific program. Listed below are some things to consider when choosing a program: Location, Rabbi, Hotel, Global treks, and more. Once you’ve gathered your list, make sure to look at each option closely and decide which one best suits your needs. When preparing your list, make sure to include special needs for elderly travelers or anyone with dietary restrictions. You can also make sure to include food allergies and ask if the accommodations you are considering have refrigerators or mini-fridges for those with limited food preparation skills.

Hotels

There’s an entire industry in hotels catering to Passover travelers. From upscale resorts to Kosher restaurants in exotic locales, there is a Passover program for everyone. From beach lovers to avid skiers, nature lovers to globe-trotters, there’s a Passover program for you! There are even Passover cruises, if that’s your thing. The possibilities are endless, and the programs are designed to meet everyone’s specific needs.

There are many luxury hotels that offer Passover programs, including those near Seaquarium and Sea World. There are also kosher retreat centers in Maryland, just thirty or forty minutes from NYC. While you’re away, you’ll find lectures, and minyanim at these hotels, as well as in the nearby area. These programs have been running for over 20 years and treat their guests like royalty. And because of the hotel’s location, you can enjoy the theme parks without worrying about kosher compliance.

Beaches

While traditional destinations are still popular, many Passover vacations are expanding their scope beyond the traditional Jewish holidays. Some of the most popular choices include Palm Springs, California, the Riviera Maya in Mexico, Whistler, Canada, the Greek island of Crete, and San Diego. For those observant in their religious traditions, you can even take a kosher safari in South Africa. While it’s not possible to visit all of these places, many can be enjoyed through Passover vacations.

Florida is home to a number of Passover Programs that offer vacation experiences based on Passover traditions and holiday customs. These programs are designed specifically for people of Jewish heritage and provide every luxury necessary to celebrate the holiday in a beautiful and memorable way. Passover Vacations with Passover Programs often includes Kosher food, daily Minyan, and Shiurim. You will be surrounded by fellow Jewish and their culture as you celebrate the holiday.

Global treks

After years of offering Passover retreats around the world, Global Treks and Adventures have now added the ability to hold a trip in Dubai, the heart of the Jewish world. Since the Abraham Accords was signed last year, the city has seen an increase in Jewish tourists. Passover treks to Dubai are now a reality. In fact, they’ve doubled in size from last year! Interested? Learn more about the program, including details of how to apply.

The Global Treks Internship Program connects college students with international researchers to conduct research projects. Interns develop hands-on research skills by working on international expeditions and participate in scouting trips. They can even receive college credit for their participation. After completing an internship, interns remain connected to the Global community, and the company’s mission continues to develop. Among the benefits of an internship with Global Treks is the opportunity to experience the diversity of the company.

Rabbis

As a rabbi in suburban Miami, I’ve gotten to see the different ways in which Passover is observed and celebrated. As a young rabbi, I’m often asked to plan Passover Seders for the observant, and one of the best ways to do that is to choose a Passover program that will meet your needs. As a Modern Orthodox rabbi, I chuckle about being a visiting scholar during Passover, because half of my congregation goes away for the holiday. Some of them even have family visiting from out of town, so the synagogue is packed with people, but many of those faces are unfamiliar.

Luxury Pesach programs have been controversial ever since they were created. While many rabbis rail against them, they are not fundamentally wrong. Without a program, many large Jewish families could not experience Pesach together. Furthermore, many people simply can’t make Pesach on their own. Or, they don’t have family nearby, so they rely on programs for their Passover celebration. If a family doesn’t have the time to plan a traditional Seder or Pesach Seder, they can’t participate in a Pesach Seder.

Prices

There are many different prices for Passover vacation programs, and you can choose one that suits your budget and lifestyle. Some programs cost less than $1,000 per person per day, while others can be over $11,000 for the entire week. The high-end programs are typically only for wealthy individuals. Depending on the location, a cheaper hotel may not be as pleasant as one in a higher-priced area. Nonetheless, they may be more relaxing.

Prices of Passover programs vary widely, but they usually include accommodations, three Glatt-Kosher meals a day, and two Seders. Depending on your preference, you may opt to take part in additional activities. Unless you have a specific need for wine, you may want to pass on hotels that include it. Be sure to research hotel prices before choosing a program. There are numerous advantages to choosing a high-quality Passover vacation program.
